Who it is for · Cyclists and climbers
For riders who count kilometres and metres of climbing
A century and an Everesting are two of the hardest days a rider can have. GritCore turns both into verified challenges, checked against the ride your bike computer or phone recorded.
Cycling and climbing challenges
- Century Ride. 160.9 km (100 miles) in one ride. Earns the silver Wheelwright badge.
- Climb Everest (Elevation). 8,849 m of climbing in a single activity, by bike or on foot. Earns the gold Summiteer badge.
- Your own. A 300 km brevet, a mountain pass repeat: create it.
How rare is climbing the height of Everest?
More than 30,000 Everestings have been logged in the official Hall of Fame, from riders, runners and skiers in 116 countries. That is a small club. Read the numbers.
Duel on elevation
Distance favours the flat. Pick elevation in a duel and the rider who finds the steepest hill wins, whatever the kilometres say.
Common questions
Can I verify an Everesting in GritCore?
Yes. The Climb Everest (Elevation) challenge asks for 8,849 m of climbing in one activity and is verified from the ride or run recorded in Health Connect or Apple Health.
Does GritCore read my route?
No. It reads the distance, duration and climbing of the ride you choose, never the route.
So how rare are you, actually?
GritCore is free on iPhone and Android.
