Create a fitness challenge the world can claim

Done something that is not on the list? Create it as an "ultra" with its own rules, and anyone on GritCore can try to claim it. Almost nobody will, which is the point.

Free on iPhone and Android

What goes into a challenge?

  • A name and a description, like "Ride 250 km" and "Cover 250 km on a bike in a single ride".
  • A category: endurance, speed, altitude, strength or misc.
  • The activity types that count, or none to accept any.
  • At least one target: a distance, a climb, a number of reps, or a time to hold.

How are community challenges scored?

A world percentage exists only where someone has researched a baseline, and inventing one would mislead everyone who claims it. So community challenges show something the app knows exactly instead: how many people on GritCore have done it. Zero is not a weakness here. "Nobody yet" is the strongest invitation there is.

The quickest way in is the rarity estimator: describe what you did, get the estimate, and turn it into a challenge in one tap.

Common questions

Can I make my own fitness challenge in an app?

Yes. In GritCore you can create a challenge with its own distance, climb, reps or hold time, and anyone in the app can claim it.

Can other people verify my custom challenge with their watch?

Yes. Distance and climbing targets can be verified from workouts recorded in Health Connect or Apple Health, just like official challenges.

So how rare are you, actually?

GritCore is free on iPhone and Android.
