GRITCORE

Terms of Service

Last updated 11 September 2026

By using GritCore you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Who can use it

You must be 13 or older. Age is checked at sign-up and enforced by the database. If your local law sets a higher minimum age for online services, that age applies to you instead.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in details private. Do not share your account, and do not create accounts for other people.

One person, one account. Creating multiple accounts to inflate leaderboards, to endorse your own claims, or to make a claim look independently witnessed is a breach of these terms.

3. Claims must be true

This is the central rule. The whole point of the app is that a claim means something.

Do not claim a feat you did not perform. Do not submit invented figures, do not attach evidence from somebody else's activity, and do not present a hand-entered number as a recorded one.

Claims are validated automatically, and evidence is retained so a claim can be examined later. We may revoke any claim we have reason to believe is false, and may suspend accounts that repeatedly submit false claims.

Rarity percentages are estimates, not certified records. They are derived from population baselines that vary in quality, and every figure in the app carries a label saying how well sourced it is. A claim verified in this app is not a world record and should not be presented as one.

4. Ultras you create

You may create your own ultras. You are responsible for what you write in a title and description.

Once other people claim an ultra you created, it stops being solely yours. It will not be deleted just because you leave — deleting it would destroy other people's verified achievements. This is why deleting your account leaves your created ultras in place without your name attached.

Do not create ultras that are dangerous, that encourage self-harm, that harass a specific person, or that are used to advertise something.

5. Endorsements

Endorsing someone's claim means you have reason to believe they did it. Endorsing claims you know nothing about, or trading endorsements, undermines the only thing that makes them worth having.

Endorsements can never make a claim count toward published statistics — only sensor-backed evidence does that. This is deliberate, and it means dishonest endorsement damages the app's community rather than its data.

6. Behaviour

Do not harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone. Do not upload unlawful content. Do not attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, or access data belonging to other users.

7. Health and safety

Attempting extreme physical feats carries real risk of injury or death.

GritCore describes feats; it does not coach, supervise, screen, or endorse anyone's readiness to attempt one. Nothing in the app is medical or training advice. You decide what to attempt, and you accept the risk of doing so. If you are unsure whether an activity is safe for you, consult a doctor first.

Do not attempt anything in this app because a leaderboard suggested it.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of what you write and submit. By posting it you grant us the licence needed to display it in the app — showing your claims on leaderboards and public profiles, and rendering share images you generate.

Aggregate, anonymised statistics derived from claims may be published or used for research. These are counts, never identifiable individuals.

9. Availability

The app is provided as is, with no guarantee of availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. It may change, break, or be discontinued. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it, to the extent the law allows.

10. Ending your use

You may delete your account at any time from the Me tab. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, particularly for repeatedly false claims or for harassment.

11. Changes

These terms may change. Material changes will be surfaced in the app before taking effect, and the date at the top always reflects the current version.

12. Grit and duels

Grit is a number inside this app and nothing more. It has no monetary value, cannot be bought, sold, or exchanged for money, and cannot be cashed out. It is given when you sign up, staked in duels, and won or lost there.

Balances may be corrected or reset — for example if a fault in the app awards Grit that was not earned, or if an account breaches these terms.

A duel message is written by one person and read by another. Keep it civil: no harassment, threats, hate, sexual content, or advertising. Messages can be reported, and an account that misuses them can be suspended or removed.

13. Reporting and blocking

You can report a duel message or a profile from inside the app, and you can block another account. Blocking stops that person challenging or following you, and hides each of you from the other's search.

We read every report and decide what to do about it, which may include removing content, suspending an account, or doing nothing. Reporting in bad faith, to silence somebody who has done nothing wrong, is itself a breach of these terms.
